Sixth Sense

People often describe having a sixth sense about things.
I'm not to sure what causes that feeling, I think its simply experience and thinking about things that occur on a sub-concious level.

Regardless I've found I get it from time to time.

Oddly enough. I get it from computers.
Specifically, the hardware.

For those that don't know me, I've lived and breathed computers for years. More than 11 years since I first started messing around with them I've learnt a lot and I've come to know when a computer is doing strange things.

I've built (and I might get around to posting pictures of), a rather impressive computer (if I do say so myself). I spent a lot of money on the hardware, and on the modifications, and on the cooling. I also spent much time tweaking it and optimizing things.

But I feel things, just briefly, every so often, that would indicate to me, that there's a problem. Not a problem that can be fixed, but a flaw, much deeper down than i can touch.
I think there's a problem with how the SATA 6Gb/s drive and controller work with the motherboard, it does strange things sometimes and displays inconsistent behaviour. On top of that, I've got weird issues that don't seem to exist anywhere else on the net.. Sudden drops in performance (only for the shortest of seconds).
RAM (Fast RAM), that takes forever to clear sections of.
Strange frequencies issuing from various components that are outside the range of Adult hearing, but still within mine (not for much longer if I keep going to gigs though...).

We will see I guess, over the next year or so I expect a few components to die. If they do... Well... I'll be disappointed to say the least. Most should still be under warranty.
